About us

Obsessed with flavour. Meticulous about sourcing the best ingredients. Serious about reducing food waste and minimising packaging. Fran and Helly Robinson are two sisters who’ve worked with food their whole life, starting in their family’s catering business. With a talented chef as a mother, the sisters learnt from an early age the importance of both good ingredients and seasonality in cooking, as well as a fierce work ethic.

Helly went on to train as a chef at a top London school, where she developed her love of creative fusion of flavours.  Batch & Thyme was born out of the sisters’ desire for everyone to eat well, not just on special occasions. 

The girls cook their meals in Mission Kitchen at the heart of New Covent Garden market. Connected to the very best British food suppliers, Batch & Thyme only use the freshest veg & herbs, and highest quality meat in the UK.  Developing new, delicious meals is in the sisters’ DNA, so expect exciting seasonal menus that reflect all tastes and cuisines. 

Our philosophy

Great ingredients really matter. We only use the finest, seasonal ingredients from local suppliers and use fresh herbs to keep our recipes at their most delicious. We work closely with our local butcher to ensure the meat are fresh and high-welfare, which is reflected in the taste. 

No preservatives or nasties. All our ingredients are bought at their best and flash-frozen locking in flavour & nutrients.  Freezing is the best, oldest form of preservation there is and is why there is no need for added preservatives or nasties.   

We cook it all ourselves. This is not conveyor-belt catering. All our dishes are cooked in small batches from our London kitchen, which means flavour is not lost, and quality remains high. It really is like eating a home cooked meal delivered to your door.  

Reducing household waste. Freezing food extends the shelf life, this means you can keep your kitchen stocked with food without worrying that it will go off and be wasted.  Filling your freezer with delicious, wholesome ready-made meals helps to cut any unnecessary waste.

Sustainability really matters to us. All our packaging is recyclable.
